Made fresh daily from scratch, our menu includes tasty salads, sandwiches, soups and desserts that remind you of the “good old days” when loving hands prepared dishes packed with flavor. Whether you order the Special of the Day or come for afternoon tea, our desire is that you relish the experience of dining with us.

Our café and tearoom are a welcome respite from today’s hectic world. From the warm colors and eclectic décor of the café to the “shabby chic’ness” of the tearoom, The Chocolate Angel is a refreshing oasis in the middle of cookie-cutter franchise restaurants.
We think we will quickly become your “favorite dining spot”. Many of our customers have become regulars and they are now our good friends.
Our customers range from young mothers stealing a quiet lunch with friends to professionals seeking a unique lunchtime experience. They appreciate our professional and friendly wait staff as well as the intimacy that our limited seating provides. On any given day you might see Red Hatters, a Bible Study Group, a Mom’s Day Out Group, Garden Clubbers, a Birthday Party for a 101 year old lady,
a Bridal Party or a Baby Shower, having lunch and celebrating.
Reservations are encouraged, since we are often booked days in advance. Walk-ins are welcome and we make every effort to accommodate everyone.
The Chocolate Angel began as a chocolate wholesale business marketing the owners’ homemade microwave fudge and choco-latte spoons. From the wholesale/retail chocolate business, we transitioned into a successful full-service catering enterprise and finally as a result of our customers’ encouragement, we evolved into a café and tearoom.
Today, we serve our customers in four different ways:
- Café and Tearoom: Open Monday – Saturday from 11:00 – 2:30.
Reservations are encouraged.
- Afternoon Teas: Served Monday – Saturday from 3:30 – 5:30
By reservation only for parties of 8 or more.
- Full Service Catering: Featuring customized menus for individual needs, tastes & budgets.
- Facilities for Private Parties: Our café and tearoom are available after hours for evening
events, including birthday, engagement and holiday parties, corporate events, rehearsal dinners
and more. By reservation only.
The Chocolate Angel is named for our mother, Mary Ruth. (She loved to entertain and was a wonderful cook and hostess.) As little girls, we watched her make sinfully delicious batches of rich chocolate fudge from her own secret recipe. Try as we might to duplicate it later in life, we never got it right, so we developed our own secret recipe for microwave fudge, which is marketed as “Miracle Fudge – a gift of love from The Chocolate Angel”.
Like our mother, we collect and read recipe books for enjoyment (no time for romance novels).
It’s here that we find ideas and inspiration for “new” menu items. Our business has grown far beyond our wildest dreams and sometimes when we are most tired from a hectic day, it is comforting to know that our Chocolate Angel is watching over us and rejoicing in our success.
